While you''re in there, I''d definitely recommend replacing the turbo oil return line as well (if it hasn''t failed, it will). Good call on replacing the oil cooler gaskets (mine failed about 8 months after doing the turbo oil lines). Also strongly recommend a 1/4" drive air

Then the Detroit Tuned Turbo Oil Line Kit is in stock, and ready to ship! This kit fixes the current stock oil line leak that happens when the line gets too hot too many times. The stock line just has an o-ring seal crimped into place that allows lots of adjustment in both directions, but the problem is the o-ring.
You will need to replace some coolant lines, new oil lines to the turbo, new air intake, intercooler piping, exhaust pipe, etc. These kits will cost more than the 3 rd Gen style, but are still comparable to the stock replacement, depending on who’s kit you buy.
2012/4/4· It''s loed in the vacuum line between the turbo compressor housing and the T piece that connects to the wastegate solenoid valve and the wastegate actuator. (see below image ) If your vacuum line that should have the required pill is missing the restrictor you will have boost fluctuations and often only hit the wastegate preset pressure of your turbo "often this is a lot lower than the
Once the turbo charger is attached to the header connect the turbo header to the engine''s exhaust system. Step 5 After the turbo header is in place create a tap in the car''s oil filter line and connect the tap to the turbocharger''s oil feed line and connect the turbocharger''s oil return line to the engine oil pan.
The cam oil lines themselves also begin to leak around the crimps between the hard line and the rubber section, similar to the oil cooler lines. Replace them as needed. The timing chain covers have thin paper gaskets that seal to the chain housings, and many times they are re-installed without …
Pre-lube the oil supply and bearing system by cranking the engine without starting. Confirm that the exhaust manifold is clean of any debris that could damage the turbine. Confirm that the oil drain is within 20 degrees of vertical, is generously sized, and confirm that the crankcase breathing (PCV) system is working properly as to avoid airlock or “gurgling” within the drain path.
If you are going to be using this reroute with a turbo, our turbo connection kit includes new multi-layer silicone lines with heatshielding, anchors and all fittings. It is designed for Flyin'' Miata turbo kits but should be compatible with most Garrett turbos regardless of source.
As the oil line is critical to the health of the turbo, the oil line should be replaced or at minimum ultrasonically cleaned. This seems to be a particular requirement for the CX7 2.3L. The above outlines some Mazda CX7 turbo problems, and some ways to help prevent the issue re-occurring.
Manifold / Downpipe / Turbo Lines – See Above Turbocharger – For a stock engine with a turbo I couldn’t recommend a better turbo than the Garrett GT2554R or the GT2560R . Both offer the same fast-spooling turbine wheel and housing, and a maximum power output of …

2005/3/2· Cooling lines on turbo 350-which is oil out, which is return? I have just purchased an external transmission oil cooler for the roadster pickup, and the recomendation is that it be hooked in series with the cooling loop in the bottom of the radiator, downstream from the radiator, which would be in the return line leading into the turbo 350.
Get the lines where they belong, and hand tighten the nuts a few turns. Replace the two brackets, and slowly tighten them down. Make sure the oil lines are not binding up anywhere. 5. Tighten all four nuts on the oil lines. 6. Replace the motor mounts.
Mechanic replaced S-hose and oil pr. warning switch next week and replaced oil/filter, but sitting in garage it has dripped about 1 pt. oil over 3 mos after three 5 mile drives and 0ne 15 mi drive. Cleaned external engine/exhaust, skid plates and see drip comes from near left rear wheel at fins of front end lower valve cover, maybe front of left oil return tube vs dripping onto it.
